Kristy Folz
practice manager
Kristy has been working in the veterinary field since 1999, when she started as a receptionist at an animal hospital in Oceanside. Over the years, she expanded her knowledge and furthered her skills to become a hospital manager, and joined our team here at La Costa Animal Hospital in April 2005. Kristy takes great pride in her work, and is constantly learning and seeking ways to improve the quality of service clients and their pets receive. In her free time, Kristy enjoys movies, the San Diego Padres, and spending time with her family. She currently lives in Vista with her cat “Squitchie.”
Jessica
veterinary technician
Jessica has been a veterinary technician for five years, and joined our practice in July 2006. Jessica started her career in veterinary medicine working at a boarding facility, all the while attending classes learning to be a technician. Jessica is very proud to work at La Costa Animal Hospital, and in her spare time she enjoys music, movies, and spending time with friends. Jessica currently resides in Escondido with her big happy cat “Mercury” and her always-energetic Boston Terrier “Zero.”
Marlie
veterinary assistant
Marlie started out at La Costa Animal Hospital as an intern in 2005, and was then hired as our veterinary assistant in June 2006. Marlie is currently a student at Mira Costa College, where she is working towards her Associates Degree in Science. Marlie then plans to further her education and become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Marlie currently lives in Oceanside with her Golden Retriever “Dude” and her Rottweiler “Luke.”
Misty

Misty has been working in the veterinary field since 1989, and joined our practice in June 2006, where she works as our head receptionist. Misty maintains an unwavering positive attitude in our front office, and has a knack for bringing families comfort and peace of mind during their visits to our hospital. Misty takes great pride in her work, and is always striving to learn and improve. Misty currently resides in Vista with her husband Mike, her two teenaged boys Myles and Madison, her cats “Joey” and “Puss Puss,” and her shelter rescue dog “Ginger Rose.”

Ashley
veterinary technician
Ashley has been involved in the veterinary field since she was thirteen years old, when she began volunteering at an animal hospital. Since that time, Ashley has grown within the field and has strengthened her skills tremendously, attributing much of her knowledge to the Mesa College Animal Health Technology program, from where she graduated in January 2007. Ashley is planning to take the California State RVT boards in early 2008. Ashley is a native San Diegan and has been an animal lover her whole life, having an assortment of pets over the years including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, and even a pot-bellied pig. Ashley currently lives in San Diego with her rescued Rottweiler puppy “Charger.”
Jennifer
receptionist
Jennifer joined our practice here in October of this year, after moving from the Orange County area, where she worked as a veterinary receptionist for 5 years. Jennifer’s genuine love and concern for all animals is evident through her hard work and positive attitude everyday. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She currently lives in Encinitas with her dogs “Lex” and “Gizmo,” whom she loves taking to the park and the beach.
